The dainty, shiny, jewellery obsession continues.... Thank you for continuing my bankruptcy Luv Aj x Wolfclub *All images found via HonestlyWTF. My apologies for the inconsistencies, work is...well you know... work and kind of the priority of my life right now. That and friends and family and actually living.

When it comes to summer beauty, there really is nothing better than looking darn awesome with little to no effort. I mean #iwokeuplikethis is trending for a reason, amiright?? And leave it to the masters of effortless cool, Urban Outfitters to master yet again another major summer beauty trend: easy, breezy, beachy "i just rolled out of bed but look hot as shit" hair :) So find below a bevvy of beauty tidbits to help leave your hair looking all shades of awesome, and possibly allow you to stay in bed 20 minutes longer. If that isn't enticing, I don't know what you're doing with your life. There is really very little I remember about bicycling as a child, and it's not because I had some terrible experience with a bike once upon a time and now my psyche is trying to repress any horrid memories. It is simply because I wasn't really a biker in my younger years. I was the child who was more inclined to baking cookies, picking flowers, reading books and basically doing anything that didn't require excessive amounts of physical activity. Come to think of it, I haven't really changed much since then. But one thing has changed.... I now want to ride a bike. I've had a bike sitting in my garage for many years with the hopes that I would one day get up the interest to take the thing around the block, but I will admit, I hate hills. They are too much work to conquer on a bike and what do you know my house sits atop a hill... so hence, no biking. But these images you will find below, make me want to rethink my aversion to such steep terrain in hopes of having an experience as glamorous as the one Erica from HonestlyWTF did with her new Papillionaire bicyclette. Who knows, maybe replacing my current bike with this beauty will make me an active individual after all... *All images found via HonestlyWTF :)
If any of you reading this personally know me, or read this blog on a fairly regular basis you know by now that my obsession with dainty, feminine & minimalist jewellery is borderline unhealthy. But that's okay because not everything we do in life is healthy...we gotta keep things interesting from time to time. What you may not know though, is my deep, unrequited love for BREAD & CIRCUS. I've mentioned them once before on this little blog here, when I first discovered them in the spring at a fashion marketplace event called INLAND (check them out too). The jewellery, everything from rings, earrings, necklaces, chains and chokers are just absolutely heavenly. The balance between refined and rustic metalwork is enough to make one never turn back to cheap trendy jewellery brands, no matter how inexpensive. I honestly do not even know how to describe to you all in words the feelings I feel when I look at the images from B&C's latest lookbook, and then again the feelings I feel when I look at the price tags...Yes a bit pricey I will admit! But all B&C jewellery is crafted and designed by hand, the designer is Toronto based and doesn't outsource (hooray for home grown talent), and prides herself on using real, high quality metals. None of that shit that turns your skin green thank god. Oh and by the way her friends are super awesome, which I also had the pleasure of meeting at this past season's INLAND when I bought my first of many B&C pieces... Three rings was enough damage for one day. SO! Feast your eyes below at The Fourth Collection by Bread & Circus, and be prepared to never look at other jewellery the same way again...or for that matter, at all. All images were found on BREAD & CIRCUS's website while perusing their 20% off sale WHICH ENDS TONIGHT! So ummm hop on that.....you're welcome.
If posting this recipe and these images requires an explanation for you, then we can't be friends. Sorry... I'm just saying, this will definitely most likely be the dessert of my summer. It's ok guys, there's fruit in it!
*All images from HonestlyYUM, the savoury sister of HonestlyWTF... :) *Recipe "card" made by me in Photoshop CS6 One of the most glamorous details about working in fashion are the shows and presentations that are around the corner pre every season. As an outsider looking in we really only see the beautiful photographs and read the eloquent (sometimes) expose's after the shows have commenced. With the likes of Instagram and Snapchat, nowadays we also get to see of the moment snap shots of looks literally as the walk down the runway. But for me, there is nothing better than having a crisp, brightly lit and beautifully coloured photograph to encapsulate a show or presentation by a designer, even if it takes a few days or week for those images to hit my desktop; because I'm patient like that. But I also feel that a designers work is so arduous and taxing, creatively inspiring and enlightening, that it is a shame to degrade the creations they've mastered with an il-lit photograph or a blurred and fuzzy Snapchat. But that's just me. So this week (aka today) when I discovered the brand Whit, NYC label and child of Whitney Pozgay, a whole week after her presentation for Resort 2016 debuted at the Gramercy hotel in New York, you can imagine my pleasure when I finally saw for my own eyes what everyone else has been lusting over. So to keep things short let me just say: the clothes. the vibe. the prints. I want it all! This venue though!!! The rooftop patio of the Gramercy Hotel in NYC. I cannot even think of the age at which I decided I wanted to travel the world. Intense sense of wanderlust has just permeated my existence for as long as I can remember, so long I have forgotten when it began. I didn't grow up in an increasingly worldly household. My mother only started travelling seriously as an adult, when she could finally afford her vacations on her own. My dad was in the military and travelled a lot, but we didn't. And yet, I have the deepest desire to traverse the globe, and I have such an intense curiosity about the wonders hidden in the rest of the world, that I often wonder where it all came from. As with everything else in my life, I blame the Internet. The world wide web is a magical place for those wanting to experience life beyond their own backyard, and an even more magical place for making us think we can actually experience it for ourselves one day. I am a true believer in that you can do whatever you set your mind too. I guess that is one of the major reasons I am so excited to see my life unfold; because I have envisioned a future for myself so magnificent, that I cannot wait to get started on making it all happen. "Making it all happen" includes visiting gorgeous places like this. Euginia Silva's breathtaking abode located in the Balearic Islands is the stuff dream houses are made of. I don't think, actually I know, there is not one detail in these photos that follow, that I am not absolutely unwaveringly in love with. The tropical desert oasis vibe with carefree spirit and billowing window curtains, the bright light, shadows, crisp white linens, rustic stone and occasional pops of saturated colours are enough to make one's heart flutter with envy. So before I have an aneurism as a result of the amazement I am currently experiencing, I will let you take in the beautiful photography for yourself. *All images courtesy of Architectural Digest Spain via HonestlyWTF.
Currently obsessed with all things white this summer, and clearly I'm not alone either. There is just something so clean and sophisticated, yet relaxed and cool, about the monochromatic colour combo and especially when that colour also happens to be linen, you really can't get anything better. So here is a little collage I put together using Photoshop CS6. I combined various photos I have found over the past week or so that I feel perfectly style the cool summer hue.
These lovely images can either be found on my Pinterest or on WhoWhatWear. Being of half Scottish heritage I love nothing more than finding amazing fashion brands, or basically just anything amazing that originates from my family's homeland. Although I have never been to the beautiful celtic country I still have a subconscious sense of pride about the country and it's people. I hope to one day visit Scotland to see what my ancestors left behind when they began their voyage to the Great White North, but in the meantime I have the Internet...and Strathberry. This amazing Scottish handbag company is a new discovery (and my new I mean like it was mere days ago that I found out they existed) and I honestly don't know what I was doing with my life before this point. The construction, quality and stye of these handbags are every fashion girls dream come true....and at a price tag so tantalizing it's hard to not jump online and buy multiples in one sitting. Gorgeous, hand crafted leather handbags as their specialty, Strathberry of Scotland is a fairly fresh face on the fashion scene (wow enough F's do you think?) but my oh my are they going to make waves. Created in small batches, Strathberry's number one priority is quality and craftsmanship. No mass manufacturing here folks, which is also a new concept in today's modern fashion world where to be big you have to be big (i.e. multiple factories, mass production and plants all over the world). What turns my crank about these bags is the incredible lines and attention to detail. Every bag is perfectly constructed, in the best quality leather, in the most amazing colours. The signature gold bar across the top of every bag lends an air of consistency, like a signature, and in my mind I have a feeling it will be this little gold bar will be for Strathberry what the Double C is for Chanel or the LV for Louis Vuitton. So take a look below, because by golly if there is one bag I will be sporting this summer (or more like saving for) it will without a doubt be Strathberry of Scotland. *All images found via HonestlyWTF...cuz that's new... ;P
There is very little in this world (as of late) that gets me excited the way interior design does. I love everything about the decoration of spaces, as I feel the space you live in is a direct reflection of the person you are. As a visitor, you are able to see a version of that person in the details they choose to surround themselves in, a collection of memories and moments, cherished and experienced. And as a decorator of your own home, every piece is perfectly and thoughtfully selected to demonstrate ones personality and lifestyle through that living space. Very little in our lives serves the same purpose that our spaces do; a perfect combination of expression and functionality. Because who wants a space that doesn't make their lives easier? So in light of this personalization of spaces, I thought Erica's bedroom makeover with Decorist from HonestlyWTF was an appropriate (and gorgeous) reflection of what it means to struggle and succeed in creating a space that expertly speaks to the owner. The design is gorgeous, layout stunning, and I mean can we just talk about the photography that so perfectly captures the room?!?! Take a peek for yourself and maybe you too will be inspired to revamp your own room. I know I am! So there you have it! Basically my dream space wrapped up and perfectly executed in someone else's very very lucky home.
