Ceiling art under the dome :)
This past week I had the amazing opportunity (and determination) to attend World MasterCard Fashion Week here in Toronto. Given my proximity to the downtown core now that I am attending school in the city, I thought it was about time I was in attendance for one of the biggest events of the year for the Toronto fashion industry. One of the other amazing things about the evening was I got to experience all the magic alongside one of my good friends Torri Webster! I could not have asked for a better date to a better event.
Thursday evening was the first of two nights of shows I went to see; the ethereal and swoon worthy SOIA & KYO at 8pm and the incredibly edgy urban warriors of Rudsak at 9pm. Both shows were absolutely amazing and have me dreaming of winter's swift return (I know I know, absurd right?!). All fashion week events were located at David Pecaut Square right in the heart of the King West area of downtown. I don't think heaven could have made a more perfect match.
As they say, a picture speaks a thousand words so I won't bore you with the verbal rendition of my amazing adventures of the last two days. You can see it all for yourself below!

Taking some snaps while waiting to buy tickets for the first show of the night!
Full house at SOIA & KYO.
Fell in love with the first look and it just got better from there.
The master behind the magic: Ilan Elfassy creative director and founder of SOIA & KYO.
Dinner at O&B Canteen (aka LUMA in the TIFF Bell Lightbox) in between shows. Cosmos & calamari tacos did the trick perfectly.
Opening graphics channelled a vintage airport click board with flights from all the major fashion centres in the world, and then transitioned to the title of the show. Can we say bon voyage?!
At Rudsak, it's the season of the Cool Rebel and I am all in.
Smoke show. And oh yah... I was TWO FRIGGIN FEET AWAY FROM LIZ TRINNEAR!!!!!!
Couldn't get over how cool the smoke looked.... GAH! Oh I also forgot to mention: Kyle Lowry (of the Toronto Raptors) was sitting two rows in front of me. Yah, we made eye contact too.
Keep an eye out the next few days because I'll be sharing the pictures from my second day adventures at WMCFW as well as an outfit post or two of what I wore to both events.
